Donaher, Mary who passed away on 7/10/2013 at the age of 86

Mary Louise (Yarrison) Donaher of Weymouth, died July 10, 2013. After high school, Mary Lou was part of the Cadet Nurse Corps. After various nursing positions, one of which she received a prestigious award for outstanding nursing, she served in the U.S. Navy. Throughout the years, she held various professional nursing positions, the last of which was an industrial nurse at Pneumatic Scale for 15 years. A very faithful woman, Mary Lou was proud of her conversion to Catholicism. She enjoyed flowers and tending to her garden. She will be remembered for her boundless generosity and kindness. She was the beloved wife of 61 years to James E. Donaher; loving mother of James E. Donaher II of and his wife Gina of Walpole and Michael Donaher and his wife Diane of Abington; sister of Betty Scharon of Va., and the late Evelyn Bull; cherished "Gran" to five grandchildren. Visiting hours were held Sunday, July 14, 2-6 p.m. in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, at 3 Charles St. (corner of Charles and Middle streets), East Weymouth. A funeral Mass was held Monday in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth, at 10:30 a.m. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 1:30 p.m. Donations in memory of Mary Lou may be made to a charity of your choice.
