Crenshaw, Helen who passed away on 10/8/2016 at the age of 85

Helen was born in Boston, MA on April 23, 1931, and was a graduate of Weymouth High School. She went on to achieve her nursing RN from Quincy City Hospital School of Nursing before joining the US Navy in 1955. Helen was stationed at San Diego Naval Hospital with additional tours at Chelsea Naval Hospital in MA, at Adak, Alaska, and at Camp Pendleton, El Toro Marine Base in CA. Her greatest satisfaction came in helping those sailors wounded in Vietnam recover their lives.

She was a member at Our Savior Lutheran Church in San Clemente, CA, where she sang in the choir. She loved her friends and her little dog Jack.

Helen is survived by her brother, C. David Hobson and his wife Marylaine, their two sons and a daughter, and their children.

A memorial service will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church

(200 Avenida San Pablo, San Clemente, CA) on Monday, November 21st at 2:00 pm. She has been interred at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas, 66675.
