Dewar, Natalie May who passed away on 8/10/2015 at the age of 92

 
Cmndr. Natalie M. Dewar (USN- Ret.), 92, died Monday, August 10, 2015 at Alfond Center for Health in Augusta.

She was born in Norwood, MA. on February 24, 1923, the daughter of Lawrence and Thordis (Spaulding) Dewar.

Nat graduated from Dedham High School and received her Nursing Degree from Columbia University. She served with the U.S. Navy Nursing Corp from 1945 to 1971, retiring as Commander. She attended St. Mark’s Episcopal Church as well as St. Barnabas Church. She was founder of the Bulldog Club of Maine.

She was predeceased by a sister Laverne Dewar Glazier of Augusta and 2 brothers, Lawrence Dewar of Vermont and Robert Dewar of California.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews. 

My deepest love and appreciation to nephew Cal Glazier and his wife Diane T. of Mount Pleasant, S.C.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Augusta. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to the Bulldog Club of New England, c/o Ed Kozatek, Treas., 98 Brown St., Attleboro, MA. 02703.
