Baker, Betty L. who passed away on 10/17/2014 at the age of 89

Betty L. Baker was born on April 15, 1925 in Brockway, PA. Our Lord called her home on October 17, 2014. She was a loving wife for almost 58 years to Henry T. Baker who just recently passed away. Betty raised seven children and had nine grandchildren. She instilled in them, her love of God and family.
She served our country as a navy nurse during the Korean War and as a CCU nurse for over 30 years. She has the special distinction of being the only female veteran to represent the US, at the 50th anniversary of the Korean conflict. She is survived by her daughter Mary Barth and husband, Bruce, daughter Margaret Harbolick and husband Paul, daughter Claudia Sensi and husband Carl, son Peter Baker and wife, Cathy and daughter Christina Baker. She is also survived by eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Catherine Baker, son, Paul Baker and grandson, Samuel Barth.
Visitation will be at Demaine Funeral Home Fairfax, 10565 Main St., Fairfax, VA on October 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church on October 21 at 12 noon.
